Flowy crop tops

If you've paid attention, you'd have noticed the crop tops everywhere in stores. If you haven't, here's a couple of good examples from nordstroms:

So, that was one style crop top that (I like most) that looks great with the right styling. Speaking of styling, The good thing about flowy croppers is that they are so easy to style. You can just throw one on over a tank or long sleeve for winter, and you are good to go. Of course slimming pants would lk alot better th this, because a flowing skirt would look strange with a flowing shirt. Too much going out from the body in one look. So stick with some pants with the flow top. This kind of shirt will lengthen your torsoe, beacause the shirt underneath (it sould be long) will stick out and make the crop top look short, increasing the length of your torsoe.(The second one is a better example)

If you want this kind of look, make sure the top fits right. You don't want one too small that would look awkward.

Another cropped option is something  this:

This is a fitting cropper. Its a sweater that chops off at under the bust. This is a different look. My computer is screwing up, so srry if there are typos. :)

Outfit

TARGET tights (!), blue dress: thrift store find, silver sash: made from piece of fabric, black wrist band: hot topic, key necklace: key-antique fair, chain-i dunno, flower obsidian necklace: antique fair, boots: MIA from nordstrom rack for 60 bucks! Face- tired, giganto bags like a dead person, and catching a cold which I have as we speak.
For this peticular outfit, I was thinking of a uniform 60's dress vibe, and the tights serve as a pop of color, with the boots making it look less soft, more edgy.

Sorry/ Antique faire

I took a picture of my outfit for pic day on my mom's phone and i cant upload it to the blog :( wuh waaah.

But, I went to the sacramento antique faire today. I got: a rotary phone (!), a pancho, a sweater vest dress, 3 necklaces, 2 chicken items (i collect wierd fake chickens), and 2 flower broaches. Also, there is a picture of a white rabbit necklace my mom got me.

This is zelda the praying mantis. Yes, just 5 seconds ago, I really named it zelda. This praying mantis is very fashionable for your information, but she really blends in with a crowd. (get it? because she changes color to camouflage with her surroundings? oh, whatever.) She's cool, so back off, or zelda will bite your head off.

PS, I may not be putting clothing on etsy, I may just sell it at a local clothing store in good 'ole secarpertaters. (my version of sacramento.)

faion show!

Today (september 11th) is second saturday here in sacramento... you know what that means! No, dumbo, not donuts! Though i love them.. I have a fashion show today! All 10 of my eclectic outfits will be making their debut in the fashion show of my collection: Colors by Ruby Winsor! The first model walk is 7:00 pm, the secod time all the models walk is 8:00! COME PEOPLE! And the clothing WILL be for sale, for good prices.

Big sweaters!

I own a couple myself, It seems to be that this fall oversized sweaters are in! I like 'em. But mostly in colors, or they get a bit boring...but that's just me. Here's an example of the shape of one, but I'm not a huge fan of the color...beigey whitey...blegh. But I'm more of a colorful person anyway! :)

DENIM DENIM DENIM!....and then some more denim!

Wow obviously colored jeans are out (waaaah) and dark and blue denim is in. Dark denim is slimming, and light denim....not so much! So remember that! I personally am sad about the colored denim fading away, because I like odd, and unique things and colors. So, I am hoping the colored jeans will come back sometime!!! As you can see in this picture I took at macy's, DENIM JEANS ARE TAKING OVER STORES!! So if you like dark and blue denim, I'd say buy it now, while there's lots of it!

I love the detailing that betsey J puts into her clothing. I dont peticularly like Paris Hilton, but I found this pic of her wearing a betsey dress and wanted to show it. This is just one example of the cool creations Betsey makes.

Short stuff

NO. I say no-no to the short stuff! Nothing too short should be worn out like this pic of Miley Cyrus walking with her sister wearing cut-offs that are short to the extreme. No thanks, I would say. No short shorts, mini skirts, or tinnie tiny dresses please!
